French Open 2008 Men Singles Final

Another final in Roland Garros which features the two finalists for the previous 3 years - Rafael Nadal, the defending champion, versus Roger Federer, who seeks the only Grand Slam title he has yet to won for the third time.

Both of them are seeking to create history of their own. Roger Federer, in his third attempt to win the French Open title, which he has yet to won. On the other hand, Rafael Nadal seeks to win his fourth consecutive French Open title, a record held by another great tennis player, Bjorn Borg.

Eventually, Nadal won again! Without any doubt, he is the King of Clay. He is just too good for Roger. He is so consistent throughout the whole game, and even the whole tournament. He is just invincible on clay. He won the whole tournament without dropping a set. Impressive?

Well, it is just too bad for Roger. Actually, i was rooting for Roger. Felt really bad for him. He wanted this title so badly. But what to do. He played quite ok during the match, but it was not enough to overcome Nadal.

But no matter what, he is still one of the greatest player of all time! =)

Now, it is time to divert our attention to the grass courts. Wimbledon is coming! But I'm not sure whether I will have the chance to watch the matches or not. If sem starts at that time, I don't have the chance to watch the live matches on Astro. So sad~

All in all, I guess Roger will have to wait for another year to achieve his goal of winning French Open. All the best Roger! Surely you can do it!

Support Roger Federer! =)

End of the finale.

Haih.

The champion and the runner up.

Rafael Nadal, the King of Clay!

Federer was OK during the match but, he just didn't do well. In fact, I think he played his worst match of all! 6-0 was just to harsh. Nadal is improving day by day. Hope Federer will do well in Wimbledon. *fingers cross*

Nice blog!

Yup, he wasn't playing his best during that match. Of course, it is my opinion only.

Thanks for visiting! =)
